FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many games will my team play?

Teams will play a minimum of 3 games (unless they receive a bye). Teams that continue to win will remain in the tournament bracket but consolation brackets also allow for teams to play a total of 3 games even after experiencing a loss.

How do I register?

Click on the “Register Here” button on the home page or on the bottom of any website page and follow the directions. You will have the choice of registering online or printing the registration form and mailing it to us.

What is the age range of players?

Tournament brackets will be set up for players between 2nd through 8th grade.

Now that I have registered, what is next?

Finding a team manager to help with the communication, organization and meeting of deadlines for the tournament will be invaluable. The Team Manager Hub lists all team requirements.

What is proof of age verification?

All participants in the Indy Crossroads Championships must submit an official school document indicating the grade level of the participant for the 2016/2017 school year. Accepted schools documents are:

  1. Progress Report/ Report Card
  2. Textbook Rental Statement
  3. Class Schedule
  4. Letter from School Administrator Verifying Grade Level

The submitted document must include school letterhead with current school address and phone number, student’s full name, grade level and date of published document. Random checks will be made to verify submitted information.

How does the check-in process work?

Once your ENTIRE team has arrived, you will be lead through the process of certification by Indy Crossroads volunteers. Your documents will be checked, verified and approved. Each player will weigh-in and receive their player wristband. Any players over the MAX ball carrier weight will be identified so game officials can easily spot them. Team photos will also be taken.

Teams that qualify for VIP Team Check-In will have priority and will have been “pre-certified” as all of their paperwork and fees are submitted ahead of time and they reserve an hour window for their team’s check-in. Any team can qualify as long as they meet all of the VIP Check-In requirements.

What paperwork do we need to bring?

A complete list of necessary paperwork can be found on the Online Team Check-In Page. Paperwork can be completed and submitted online or via mail or a combination of the two.

Can I bring my team on Saturday to avoid 1 night’s hotel stay?

Because of the number of teams involved in the tournament, all teams must go through the check-in process on Friday in order to be eligible for participation beginning early morning Saturday.

What is average cost of a hotel room?

All of our partner hotel rates range from $89.00-$149.00 per night. The sooner your team gets registered and requests team lodging, the more choices you will have for your team’s hotel preference.

How much does it cost to play in the tournament?

The team registration fee is $375.00 and the per-rostered player Spectator Admission fee is $30.00.

The Spectator Admission Fee, due by October 28, 2016, will admit all family and friends to all field locations for the entire weekend. Spectators will not be required to wear a wristband or pay any additional fee at the gates. We want you to bring your entire fan base to cheer your team to victory!

Discounts are available to 2015 participants who bring 4 NEW teams to the 2016 tournament (team registration fee is waived), multiple team leagues ($25.00 discount per team) and 2016 Champions (team registration fee is waived) as long as teams are registered by September 18, 2016.

Where will we play? Where will we stay?

Teams will likely play on the same field all weekend. Field locations are spread around the city of Indianapolis at various H.S. stadiums.

Teams will be given hotel stay options close to the field where they are playing for the weekend.
